fingerprintjs/skills GitHub repository.
Why use skills
- Matched to your stack: your agent applies the integration guide for the framework your project uses.
- Secure by default: every integration pairs frontend identification with server-side verification and keeps your secret API key out of client code.
- Current APIs: each skill points your agent to Fingerprint’s live documentation, so it confirms package names, options, and response fields against the current version.
Prerequisites
- A Fingerprint account to get your API keys
- A coding agent that supports Agent Skills
Fingerprint skills set up JavaScript agent v4 and Server API v4. If your app already uses
JavaScript agent v3, your agent keeps your existing integration and doesn’t migrate it. To
upgrade, follow Migrating JavaScript agent from v3 to v4.

Skills and the MCP server
Skills give your agent knowledge about Fingerprint. The Fingerprint MCP server gives your agent live access to your workspace, so it can search identification events and manage environments and API keys. Use both together: the Claude Code plugin includes the MCP server, and the MCP server also exposes the same skills through itslist_skills tool.
